London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers
Crime Stoppers is a not-for-profit program for the public to call in tips to solve or identify crimes in their community. This is a partnership between the police, the media and the public. All callers will never have to reveal their identity or testify in court. Crime Stoppers does not use call display or *69. Callers may receive a cash reward for tips provided.
Crime Stoppers programs do not receive funding from any government sources. We rely entirely on fundraising initiatives to support and drive our program. Community leaders, the business community and individual citizens can assist Crime Stoppers in many ways, including financial assistance or partnerships to raise awareness of the issues facing our communities. Financial donations are tax-deductible and directly benefit London Elgin Middlesex Crime Stoppers (“LEMCS”). Tip rewards paid out by the program come from these funds. We are totally run by volunteers.
When you report a crime, you are assigned a code. No personal information is collected. You can enter your code in a follow-up link. If their anonymous tip turns into an arrest or charge, you are paid a reward. You pick up your reward at a LIBRO bank with your tip code that was generated during submission.
What can be reported to Crime Stoppers:
- Crimes already committed
- Crimes about to occur
- Whereabouts of wanted people
